433/900 Mhz LoRa GPS Tracker
New product, under development!
Transmitter: u-blox SAM10 GPS module with integrated patch antenna. Max altitude 80km. 100mw LoRa transceiver. Position reports transmitter at 1 hz intervals. Up to 20 minutes of flight data stored in non-volatile memory can be downloaded after flight as raw data, or .kml file. On-board barometric sensor for robust launch detection and accurate altitude readings up to 100K feet combined with GPS altitude data. USB-C interface for programming and charging. Powered by a single cell LiPo with on-board battery charger. User selectable RF channels and node-ids prevent interference w/ other trackers. Frequencies used do NOT conflict with some of the other very popular transmitters.
Receiver: Same form factor as current BRB900. 16 column x 3 row sunlight readable LCD displays latitude, longitude, altitude, max altitude and distance / bearing to pad. No PC or expensive APRS receiver required for flight monitoring. Multiple transmitters can be monitored for multi-stage flights.
Transmitter and receiver contain an integrated Bluetooth Low Energy interface for future development of smart phone app for Android and iOS.
This product will replace the current BRB900. The 70cm GPS tracker will continue to be available.
433 Mhz version requires an Amateur radio License. No license required for 900 Mhz version.
